Biography

Lydia B. Tiede, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of Houston, Houston, TX, USA.

Her research focuses on comparative judicial politics, constitutional courts, judicial independence, and the rule of law; legal systems and judiciaries in the United States, Latin America, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, and England and Wales. Her teaching areas are comparative judicial studies, human rights, judicial behavior and process, and law and society
